However, not even a month into his new role, he had already received some letters from loansharks threatening his safety.
The loansharks threatened the police chief and asked him to cooperate with them so that he will not be splashed with paint or acid or even be shot. They also threatened to set fire to a shop lot or even the police station. Enclosed with the letter are 6 pieces of Chinese joss paper banknotes.
