Sibu District Police Chief, Assistant Commissioner Zulkipli Suhaili, said the case is being looked into under Section 3 of the Child Act 2001 for neglect or exposing a child to situations that could cause physical or emotional harm. “The victim was found by the fire and rescue team inside a sewer system near the scene and was taken to Sibu Hospital. When he arrived, he was soaked, pale, and showed no signs of life. He was later pronounced dead at the hospital’s emergency unit.”
