PBT Melaka diarah cari pokok berisiko tumbang

Semua pihak berkuasa tempatan (PBT) diminta mengenal pasti dan melakukan kerja-kerja pemotongan pokok berisiko tumbang atau patah berikutan

Pengerusi Kanan Jawatankuasa Perumahan, Kerajaan Tempatan, Saliran, Perubahan Iklim dan Pengurusan Bencana negeri, Datuk Rais Yasin berkata, oleh kerana faktor cuaca tidak menentu, kerja-kerja landskap sedemikian tidak boleh hanya dilaksanakan mengikut jadual ditetapkan.

“Kadang-kadang route itu tidak ada pokok yang perlu dicantas sangat, jadi dia mesti cari pokok yang berbahaya. Yang ini perlu diatasi dahulu. Pada 28 Oktober lalu, empat sekeluarga termasuk seorang warga emas nyaris maut apabila kereta yang mereka naik dihempap pokok tumbang dalam kejadian ribut petir di Batu Berendam.
