reminded Sandakan voters ahead of polling day on Saturday , that DAP is not a defender of Sabahan and Sarawakian rights.

Ongkili said he had been a member of the Semangat 46 opposition front before joining Barisan Nasional in 2002.

During his time in opposition, Ongkili said he was openly scolded by senior members when he brought up issues on Sabah and Sarawak, such as immigration rights and the 20-point agreement. "They would also repeatedly query why peninsula Malaysians needed travel documents to enter Sabah and Sarawak, forgetting that these rights are spelled out in the Malaysian Constitution and MA63," he said.Hence, Ongkili reminded the voters not to trust DAP if they wanted to preserve and protect the constitutional rights of Sabah and Sarawak."DAP therefore cannot be trusted to champion Sabah and Sarawak's rights.

"Based on records, DAP is only good at talking about Sabah and Sarawak rights, and making promises, but they have not done anything so far," he added.
