Marcos says protecting and rehabilitating the country's biodiversity is influential in shaping the Philippines' destiny as a nation.
As the country continues to weather the effects of climate change, President Ferdinand "Bongbong" Marcos Jr. asked the public to care more about the environment and help preserve and manage the country's limited resources.Marcos said this as he led the 160th anniversary of the Philippine Forestry Service in Quezon City on June 26.
"We have had many warnings over decades by scientists saying that unless we change our habits, unless we change our lack of sensitivity to our environment, there will be global warming, and there will be climate change. Unfortunately, we did not listen," he added.
