“I have made no provision for my wife Paulina Porizkova … as we are in the process of divorcing,” the rocker wrote in his last wishes.“Even if I should die before our divorce is final … Paulina is not entitled to any elective share … because she has abandoned me.”Porizkova met Ocasek when she was cast in a video for The Cars’ song “Drive.”
The pair met in 1984 while filming the music video for The Cars’ hit song “Drive.” Porizkova was just 19, and Ocasek was a 40-year-old married father of four.in October 2021, “vindictive.”“It was really, really hard because obviously, first of all, you’re grieving a person that has been your whole life, the most important person in your life … there was so much pain just stacked up on top of each other … and then this betrayal was a lot,” she tells us.Porizkova was a top model in the ’80s.
Porizkova says she’s made peace with Ocasek’s legal betrayal by “focusing on gratitude” and all the wonderful times they shared, theorizing that “part of his vindictiveness was that he still cared.”
