PETALING JAYA: Attempts by some politicians to move a confidence vote for Prime Minister Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad in Parliament are irresponsible, says the National Patriots Association (Patriot).

President Brig-Jen Datuk Mohamed Arshad Raji said such a move was the irresponsible work of both Opposition politicians who are eager to form government through the back door and Pakatan Harapan politicians who are occupied in"survival politicking".

"They should not be in politics in the first place. With such poor attributes and if they are on their own in the private sector, they will also fail miserably," said Mohamed Arshad in a statement on Thursday . He also said talk of the formation of a Pakatan Nasional government was"unthinkable", adding that it would be a betrayal of the people's aspirations.
