Ketua Pengarah Kesihatan Datuk Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah berkata, pasukan perubatan republik berkenaan akan tiba di negara ini dua minggu lagi.

Beliau berkata, mereka hanya berkongsi pengalaman bagi membantu menambahbaik perkhidmatan KKM khususnya berkaitan Covid-19.“Kita alu-alukan kedatangan mereka dan KKM juga boleh mempelajari sesetengah inisiatif yang dilakukan China. “Seperti kita tahu, China berupaya membina sebuah hospital baharu dalam masa 10 hari. Namun pada sama Malaysia juga dapat menyediakan hospital sementara bagi menempatkan pesakit Covid-19 dalam masa tiga hari,” katanya.Pada 28 Mac lalu, Duta China ke Malaysia, Bai Tian menyatakan kesediaan China untuk menghantar pakar perubatan ke negara ini dalam usaha membanteras penularan Covid-19.

Sementara itu, Dr Noor Hisham berkata, KKM sudah menerima lagi kit ujian pantas yang canggih daripada Korea Selatan.“Kita tidak mahu ulangi kesilapan Sepanyol dan United Kingdom yang tidak menunjukkan ketepatan sebenar. “Pihak KKM tidak mahu berlakunya keputusan ‘false positive’ atau ‘false negative’ yang boleh menyebabkan keadaan lebih buruk,” katanya.
