KUALA LUMPUR: The passing of former MIC deputy president Tan Sri S. Subramaniam is a great loss to the country, says Datuk Seri Dr Wee Ka Siong."His passing last night is a great loss to the people and our country," he said on Facebook on Wednesday .
The former Damansara and Segamat MP passed away at his home in Petaling Jaya, Selangor on Tuesday night. According to his son Sunther, Subramaniam had been bedridden for almost 11 years after suffering a stroke. He served two terms as the Damansara MP from 1974 to 1982 and as the Segamat MP for four terms with his final term being the 1999 General Election.Article type: free
