Marking the beginning of the city’s year-long celebration of its 450th founding anniversary, the Pasig City local government unveiled the new logo symbolizing the city’s heritage, history, and culture.
Pasig City Mayor Vico Sotto, Vice Mayor Robert “Dodot” Jaworski Jr, Congressman Roman Romulo and members of the 11th City Council led the logo launch on Monday night, March 13, at the Pasig City Hall Quadrangle.
Each digit of the “450” features symbolic landmarks, icons, myths and stories, conveying the diversity of Pasig’s history and culture, its past, present, and future. In number zero are the city skyline, Revolving Tower, silhouettes of Pasigueños, and 30 banderitas representing the 30 barangays, showcasing the present Pasig.
De Leon said the rich heritage and character of Pasig City has been 450 years in the making.
