The event — Love, Loud and Proud — joined many throughout L.A. County as part of Pride Month — to celebrate cities’ LGBTQ communities.
The city’s official celebration unfold with a free, family-friendly event featuring music and several local civic organizations.Montebello held its first Eastside Pride festival. And this year’s events follow last year, when neighboring Alhambra and Monterey Park held their own, joint inaugural event.The Long Beach Pride Parade & Festival, meanwhile, will return for the first time since 2019 in July.
Organizers are preparing for a weekend of fun on July 8 to 10 rather than in May when the parade is usually held.
