The former prime minister says 'other races' will still be looked after.
KUALA LUMPUR: Najib Razak today maintained that there is no need to worry over the Umno-PAS alliance, following concerns by some that it could be detrimental to race relations in the country.
“So no one should worry about PAS and Umno joining forces,” he told reporters at the Dewan Rakyat lobby. He said the move was “very bad for a multiracial country”, adding that it would undermine racial equality. Umno vice-president Ismail Sabri Yaakob meanwhile said those who were vocal about the alliance were worried.
