Takiyuddin Hassan arrived at the MACC headquarters at about 9.20am.

PUTRAJAYA: PAS secretary-general Takiyuddin Hassan has been called up by anti-graft officials to give his statement on claims that the party received RM90 million suspected to be from state investment fund 1MDB.

According to a source from the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission , Takiyuddin arrived at the MACC headquarters here at about 9.20am. On Feb 24, MACC chief commissioner Shukri Abdull was reported as saying that the commission had not traced any transactions on the RM90 million from 1MDB into PAS’ bank account.

Several people were earlier called up by MACC in connection with the case, including Bachok MP Nik Mohamad Abduh Nik Abdul Aziz, former PAS deputy president Nasharudin Mat Isa and Amanah vice-president Husam Musa. The issue of PAS receiving money from Umno resurfaced when PAS president Abdul Hadi Awang decided on Feb 1 to finalise the out-of-court settlement by withdrawing his suit against Sarawak Report editor Clare Rewcastle Brown, concerning the article containing the allegation.
