KUALA LUMPUR: PAS will support MCA’s Datuk Seri Dr Wee Jeck Seng in the upcoming Tanjung Piai parliamentary by-election on Nov 16, says its president Datuk Seri Hadi Awang .
On a separate matter, Hadi said that PAS did not agree with Barisan Jemaah Ismiah Se-Malaysia president Badhrulhisham Abdul Aziz contesting in the by-election Asked if Badhrulhisham's decision to contest had a bearing on PAS and Berjasa's alliance as part of the Gagasan Sejahtera coalition, Hadi said such alliances are reviewed from time to time.
Besides Wee and Badhrulhisham, Pakatan Harapan's Karmaine Sardini, Gerakan deputy secretary-general Wendy Subramaniam are contesting along with two independents - social auditor Faridah Aryani Abdul Ghaffar and tuition centre owner Ng Chuan Lock - in the six-cornered fight for the seat.
