A Schuylkill County couple is facing child endangerment charges after Children and Youth found their 3-year-old daughter extremely malnourished, with a lice infestation and bed bug bites all over her body, authorities said. Ryan Sonnon, 32, and Abigail Sonnon, 30, are charged with felony counts of endangering the welfare of a child and misdemeanor counts of recklessly endangering another person, Pennsylvania State Police said Tuesday morning.
The Sonnons’ toddler had to be rushed to the emergency room to prevent serious injury or death because of her malnutrition, state police said.State police said the Sonnons were arrested on Christmas Eve in Mahanoy City and taken to the Schuylkill County Prison in lieu of $10,000 bail, each.
