The Parañaque City government lighted a giant Christmas tree at the City Hall grounds on Monday, Dec. 5.
Mayor Eric Olivarez headed the ceremony, together with wife Aileen Claire and the city government department heads led by city administrator Atty. Voltaire dela Cruz. Olivarez said a show was conducted prior to the ceremonial lighting of Christmas tree, with the Parañaque City band played Christmas songs. The city’s Kulturang Kayumangi cultural dance troops also performed during the event.
For the children who joined the activity and the employees, the city government also prepared mascots led by Mr. Santa Claus. Olivarez said the Olivarez College Singing Ambassadors helds a Christmas concert after the lighting ceremony.
