Melanie Soriano-Malaya during his first State of the City Address held at theThe mayor said Malaya made the collection of P2.8-billion from business taxes and fees during the renewal of business permit from January to February compared to P2.

Olivarez said the BPLO recorded a total of 20,569 registered businesses on May 31 this year which showed that more business owners want to do business in the city. He said the Anti-Red Tape Authority commended the BPLO as the first local government unit that pioneered the Electronic Business One-Stop Shop program in promoting ease of doing business.

The mayor said the BPLO pioneered the streamlining and simplification of business permit and licensing procedures through the implementation of E-BOSS.
