Paralympic council confident Hannah Yeoh will elevate its movement

The Paralympic Council of Malaysia is hopeful Youth and Sports Minister Hannah Yeoh's experience will aid her in uplifting its cause to advance para-sports in the country. – The Malaysian Insight file pic, December 4, 2022.

PCM president Megat D. Shahriman Zaharudin said he is confident Yeoh’s experience as former deputy women, family and community development minister positions her to better understand the challenges faced by disabled people. “We shall continue to play our part to support government initiatives to uplift the well-being of PWDs through sports. We have world-class para-athletes who have achieved numerous successes. We also have a strong government support system in place to promote para-sports in the country,” he said in a statement today.
