Palm oil body gives RM1.5 million for Sabah wildlife population survey

THE Malaysian Palm Oil Council today donated RM1.5 million to the Sabah Wildlife Department to conduct a species population survey, especially of orangutans and pygmy elephants. MPOC CEO Dr Kalyana Sundram presented a cheque to state Wildlife Department director Augustine Tuuga at a ceremony in Kota Kinabalu witnessed by Chief Minister Mohd Shafie Apdal and Primary Industries Minister Teresa Kok.
