“We were made aware of certain faults and certain deficiencies but in the end we were convinced that this version that was sent to us was the enrolled bill,” he added, saying the enrolled bill was signed both by the Senate President and House Speaker and certified by the secretariats of both chambers.

“I was privy to some deliberations during the Senate part of the legislative process and we were aware that they were very, very thorough in the discussions,” he said.‘An honest mistake’ The Senate version of the MIF bill was the one adopted by the House and approved in the bicameral conference committee.
