Pakatan says one thing, then does something else

Article 19 and Civicus today released a report assessing Pakatan Harapan’s first year in power, where they rebuked the Dr Mahathir Mohamad-led government of backing down on protecting and promoting human rights in Malaysia. – The Malaysian Insight pic by Hasnoor Hussain, May 6, 2019.

PAKATAN Harapan has backtracked on many of its commitments and manifesto promises since it took power last year, said civil society groups Article 19 and Civicus in a joint report.to ratify the International Convention on the Elimination of All Forms of Racial Discrimination and the Rome Statute after coming under pressure from right-wing groups.
