Pair scammed housing agency out of $500K, accepted bribes, cops say

Two New Jersey men have been charged in connection with a scheme that defrauded a housing authority out of $500,000, according to officials.

They also accepted $76,000 in bribes from a contractor in exchange for submitting inflated work invoices to the authority, officials said.
