Pahang rep calls for higher rent on Lynas

A PAHANG assemblyman proposed that the state government impose a higher rent for Lynas Malaysia Sdn Bhd ’s rare earth processing plant if it finalises a permanent deposit facility to process the waste in the state. Kemayan assemblyman Mohd Fadil Osman said the higher rent is to enable Pahang to get the maximum benefit from the building of the PDF, which is part of the recent Lynas operating licence extension terms.
