The Pahang state government plans to attract data center investments as part of its efforts to strengthen the state's digital infrastructure. The chairman of the Investment, Industry, Science, Technology, Innovation and Environment Committee, Datuk Mohamad Nizar Najib, said that the industry has the potential to generate significant economic benefits for the state.
KUANTAN: Kerajaan Pahang merancang menarik pelaburan industri pusat data dalam usaha memperkasakan infrastruktur digital di negeri ini.
“Kita akan lihat beberapa cadangan pelaburan daripada syarikat pusat data, tetapi penglibatan kerajaan Pahang mungkin tidak setinggi di Lembah Klang dan Johor di mana mereka memiliki antara 40 hingga 50 pusat bagi setiap negeri. Mohamad Nizar berkata pihaknya sudah mengenal pasti beberapa lokasi yang dilihat berupaya memenuhi syarat dalam membangunkan pusat data antaranya kawasan Kuantan, Gambang dan Bentong.
“Sama ada individu itu pekerja nomad digital, usahawan digital, blogger, tiktoker atau youtuber, mereka ini boleh bergerak dan buat kerja dari jarak jauh.
