Pahang draws RM11bil foreign direct investments in 2022 FMTNews FMTBusiness
The bulk of the foreign direct investment from China in 2022 came from the expansion of the Alliance Steel plant in Gebeng, Pahang.
He said the biggest contributor to FDI from China was from the expansion of Alliance Steel Sdn Bhd, the first investor in the Malaysia-China Kuantan Industrial Park , and a subsidiary of Guangxi Beibu Gulf Iron and Steel Co Ltd. “MCKIP is the first industrial park to be jointly developed between Malaysia and China, with the China-Malaysia Qinzhau Industrial Park in China.
Transport minister Loke Siew Fook and deputy international trade and industry minister Liew Chin Tong were also present.
