The effect of the low pressure area , which was formerly tropical depression Amang, has weakened on Friday, April 14, but scattered rain showers may still affect Bataan and Zambales in the next 24 hours, the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration said in its latest weather advisory.
“Under these conditions, flooding and rain-induced landslides are possible, especially in areas that are highly or very highly susceptible to these hazards,” it warned. Sudden heavy rains, lightning, thunder, gusts of wind, and sometimes hail, often accompany severe thunderstorms.
