The resulting merger cyclone possibly dominated by Maring was seen to further intensify within forecast period and may reach severe tropical storm category within 36 hours, it added. Maring was last located 875 kilometers east of Catarman, Northern Samar – packing maximum sustained winds of 85 kilometers per hour near the center and gustiness of up to 105 kph.
