The easterlies will affect the country in the next 24 hours, weather bureau PAGASA said Sunday.

According to PAGASA’s 4 p.m. weather forecast, Metro Manila and the rest of the country will experience partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms, mostly in the eastern section.

Residents were advised to prepare for possible flash floods or landslides due to severe thunderstorms. The wind speed forecast for extreme northern Luzon will be moderate to strong, while coastal waters will be moderate to rough, ranging from 1.2 to 4 meters. The rest of the country will experience light to moderate winds with slight to moderate coastal waters ranging from 0.6 to 2.5 meters.The sun will rise over Metro Manila at 6:07 a.m. on Monday.
