Paetow's David Hicks Sr. promoted to head football coach after serving in interim role

Hicks, meanwhile, was a stabilizing force for the Panthers as they finished out the season and narrowly missed the playoffs out of a tough District 19-6A. Paetow, which won the Class 5A Division I state championship in 2021, went 5-5 overall and 4-4 in league action this year. Hicks came to Paetow after one year as an assistant at perennial powerhouse Allen. He was previously on the staff at Morton Ranch and served as a teacher with the Katy Online Learning Academy.
