Padres pregame: Fernando Tatis Jr. looking to stay hot in Dodgers series finale
The 26-year-old led the NL with a 2.16 ERA last year, finishing third in Cy Young voting. Urias is coming off his best start of the season, striking out 10 over seven innings of one-run ball in which the only hit he allowed was a homer. Homers, though, have been a problem as Urias has allowed eight in 39 2/3 innings. He has a 2.19 ERA in 61 2/3 innings against the Padres in the regular season .
He allowed three runs in five innings in a Game 1 win in last year’s NLDS against San Diego.He allowed three of his four homers last weekend while pitching in high-altitude Mexico City, when he allowed seven runs in 3 1/3 innings. Musgrove is 0-6 in nine career starts against the Dodgers but he started the decisive Game 4 in the NLDS last year, striking out eight and allowing two runs in six innings in a no-decision.
