Presidential candidate Senator Manny Pacquiao on Friday warned voters that disorder would prevail if his rival Ferdinand "Bongbong" Marcos Jr. won the presidency in Eleksyon 2022.
"Ito lang sabihin ko sa inyo, 'pag nanalo si Bongbong hindi titigil ang kaguluhan," Pacquiao said at a media briefing in Ormoc City, Leyte. Pacquiao lamented the same old politics in the country where the camp of the Marcoses and the so-called "dilawans" are competing for positions in the government. "Kasi buti kung papayag yang dilawan. Kung manalo naman ang dilawan payag kaya ang kabila? So ganu'n na lang palagi ang politika natin dito, 'di na tayo naka-focus sa economic growth and development sa bansa. Ang naaapektuhan ang taumbayan," he said.
"Ito ang totoo, correct me if I'm wrong pero ito ang totoo na nasa puso ko. Ayaw talaga nila mag-attend ng debate kasi baka magkamali pa ng sasabihin at baka mahalungkat ang mga itinatago nilang baho, 'yun 'yung iniiwasan," he said.
