THE first Public Accounts Committee hearing on the Littoral Combat Ship project will be held on June 10, says its chief Datuk Mas Ermieyati Samsudin.“It will be an update and also a proceeding,” Mas Ermieyati told The Star when met at Parliament yesterday.The PAC had recommended in its report tabled on Aug 4 last year that the Defence Ministry will have to provide a quarterly update on the status of the combat ships.
The Finance Ministry will also take over the company responsible for the project, Boustead Naval Shipyard Sdn Bhd , via a special purpose vehicle .
