The child’s mother was in the Philadelphia home at the time when the bedroom window screen gave way, according to police.
It took place around 5 p.m. on the 500 block of East Girard Avenue in the Fishtown section of the city, the story said.
Police say the boy, around 5 years old, was in a bedroom playing with two siblings, a 7-year-old and 11-month-old, when he fell out of the window. The child’s mother was home at the time when the bedroom window screen gave way, according to police. The boy was airlifted to an area hospital and was reported to be extremely critical condition, the story said.
