Suspected marijuana worth a total of P6.2 million was eradicated in Tinglayan, Kalinga and Bakun and Kibungan, Benguet on Tuesday, Dec. 6.

CAMP DANGWA, Benguet –

Police Regional Office-Cordillera Director Brig. Gen. Mafelino Bazar said the Provincial Drug Enforcement Group of the Kalinga Provincial Police Office and Naval Intelligence Security Group Northern Luzon uprooted 17,000 fully grown marijuana plants with a standard drug price of P3.4 million in Barangay Buscalan, Tinglayan through “Coplan: Green Herb.”

The Tinglayan Municipal Police Station in “Oplan: Gogo” uprooted 4,000 FGMJP with an SDP of P800,000 in a plantation with a land area of 200-square meters in Sitio Canaan, Barangay Buscalan, Tinglayan.The Kibungan MPS, Bakun MPS, and Provincial Drug Enforcement Unit discovered 200 FGMJP and 1,650 marijuana seedlings with an SDP of P2,066,000.

All discovered marijuana was uprooted and burned on-site. No cultivators were arrested but an investigation is ongoing to identify them.
