LUCENA CITY — Anti-narcotics operatives collared an alleged illegal drug trafficker who yielded P5.1 million worth of “shabu” during a buy-bust operation in Santa Rosa City, Laguna province, authorities said on Sunday, March 19.
The Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency in Region 4A said its agents and local police arrested at 7:15 p.m. on March 18 Joemar Demandante, 40, after he sold shabu to a poseur buyer in front of a subdivision along the Santa Rosa-Tagaytay road in Barangay Sto. Domingo.The operatives seized from Demandante, a resident of Ayala Southville Village in Las Piñas City, 750 grams of meth worth about P5,175,000.
