The 23-year-old has been the man coming up with pinpoint crosses from the flanks but he will have a heavier workload on the defensive front when Malaysia face Thailand in the AFF Mitsubishi Cup first-leg semi-final at the National Stadium in Bukit Jalil tomorrow.
The War Elephants have pacy wingers like Ekanit Panya, Bordin Phala and Jaroensak Wonggorn who can cause much damage for the Harimau Malaya, and Quentin will be on his toes. Not only that, captain Teerathon Bunmathan and Sasalak Haiprakhon are also speedy wingbacks that Malaysia have to contain.“It can feel like I’ll be on double duty but I’m game for it. In our formation, we have one more extra defender to cover me. So, I’ve got to trust my mates when I get forward,” he said.Quentin believes Malaysia can get a good result if the players execute coach Kim Pan-gon’s game plan well.
