PETALING JAYA: A total of RM22.75mil has been raised for the Tunku Abdul Rahman University of Management and Technology (TAR UMT) Student Loan Fund, says Datuk Seri Dr Wee Ka Siong.
He said that this adds another 66 new student loan funds to the existing 53 loan funds available for students to apply
"A total of 119 loan funds are now available to help students and we'd like to thank all the donors for their generosity," said the Ayer Hitam MP at the celebration of TAR UMT’s upgrade and Student Loan Fund event on Saturday . Selangor Ruler Sultan Sharafuddin Idris Shah and Tengku Permaisuri Selangor Tengku Permaisuri Norashikin also graced the special dinner, which was hosted to appreciate all donors for their valuable contributions toward students.
Also present were TAR UMT Board of Governors chairman Tan Sri Liow Tiong Lai and TAR UMT president Prof Lee Sze Wei.
