KUALA LUMPUR: A total of 7,364 people, who returned to Malaysia since July 24, have been placed under mandatory quarantine, says Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri YaakobThe Senior Minister said the returnees were placed at 30 hotels and five public training institutes in Kuala Lumpur, Selangor, Negri Sembilan, Penang, Johor, Sarawak, Kelantan, Perak, Perlis and Kedah.
"They returned from 30 countries including Singapore, Thailand, Indonesia, Japan, Bangladesh, Spain, France and Australia. "A total of 20 of the returnees were sent to hospital for treatment as they tested positive for Covid-19," he said in a statement on Saturday . Meanwhile, checks on 10 construction sites on Friday revealed that all complied with standard operation procedures .
"The checks were conducted by 33 personnel from the Construction Industry Development Board ," he said.
