JUST IN: Yuma Police released the names of the 2 young men who died, as well as what they believe led up to the shooting where at least 30 rounds were fired.
All the victims involved were between the ages of 15 and 20.just before 11 p.m. on May 13 and found seven victims with gunshot wounds.
Two men, 19-year-old Danny Garcia and 20-year-old Ande Blackthunder died from their injuries at Yuma Regional Medical Center. A 16-year-old boy was flown to Phoenix in extremely critical condition. Four other males - ages 15, 16, 18 and 19 - were hurt but are expected to survive. "We can confirm that this was a party at a private residence … the parties knew each other and that over 30 rounds were fired. The homeowners were not at the residence when this party occurred but were contacted and fully cooperated. Several weapons were recovered at the scene and are awaiting forensics testing," Yuma Police said in a news release on May 15.Anyone who knows something about the case is asked to contact the Yuma Police Department at 373-4700.
