IPOH: A total of 3,777 investigation papers have been opened by Perak police under the Dangerous Drugs Act and Poisons Act from January to September this year.
“About 94% or 3,543 have been brought to court,” deputy Perak police chief Deputy Comm Datuk Mazlan Santarai said on Tuesday .
The drugs were from 4,991 court cases that have been closed over the course of three decades, he added. On a separate matter, he said 312 compound notices were issued for disobeying standard operating procedures under the National Recovery Plan.
