More than 100 universities and 3,500 students are set to participate at the 11th Federation of African Universities Sports Games,holdingin Lagos from September 20 to 29, 2024.

Speaking at a media briefing on the games yesterday, the Vice Chancellor of LASU, Prof. Ibiyemi Olatunji-Bello, described securing the hosting rights for the FASU Games as a landmark achievement in the over 40-year history of LASU. The Vice-Chancellor expressed pride in LASU’s role in this rich sporting tradition and assured that LASU is ready to welcome the rest of Africa and is looking forward to collaborating with local and international partners to host a game that will offer substantial sporting and business opportunities to sporting organisations, athletes and co-hosts.
