Over 100 emergency medical services personnel were deployed by the Philippine Red Cross to assist the attendees of the Sinulog Festival 2023 in Cebu City.Seventy-five on-foot patrols, 15 first aid stations with welfare desks, and four ambulances from PRC were also on standby from Jan. 5 to 15.
As per PRC’s 5 p.m. report, 199 Sinulog participants have so far received medical assistance from the organization.Ninety-four individuals who experienced dizziness, abdominal pain, laceration, and loss of consciousness were treated by PRC. The volunteers also treated four festival attendees who experienced difficulty in breathing, two were given psychological first aid, one was transported to the hospital, and 99 people had their blood pressure monitored as per PRC’s data..
