If you needed a reason to smile today, Miracle the dog is it. After surviving for three and a half weeks trapped under rubble in the wake of Hurricane Dorian, the resilient dog was saved by. Having not eaten for nearly a month, Miracle was severely anemic, and the muscles in his hind legs didn't work anymore, but that didn't stop him from making a full recovery and finding his forever home.

Following his rescue, over 10,000 applications to adopt Miracle were sent in — including one from a reality TV show — but only one family was lucky enough to calltheirs. Clark and Briana Beaty and their three young daughters also lost a home in the Bahamas during Hurricane Dorian, making them the perfect fit for Miracle."We hope he likes playing dress up and snuggling and walks and being spoiled," Briana said.
