More than 1,000 farmers in Masbate have received electronic land titles (e-titles) from the Department of Agrarian Reform (DAR) through its Support to Parcelization of Lands for Individual Titling (SPLIT) project. | ManilaBulletin
In a statement released by the agency, the DAR stated that a total of 1,048 agrarian reform beneficiaries in Masbate received e-titles covering 2,130 hectares of arable land.
According to the DAR chief, the distribution of e-titles to farmers is in accordance with President and Agriculture Secretary Ferdinand "Bongbong" R. Marcos Jr's directive to expedite land distribution, agrarian justice delivery, and the provision of support services to ARBs, as he vowed to do his best to ensure that the farmers' welfare is taken care of under the current administration.
For his part, DAR Bicol Regional Director Reuben Theodore C. Sindac said the e-titles provide the ARBs complete control of the land they are cultivating.
