Kristy Ferguson has been a nurse for 23 years and says she has never used anything like VR in her practice.Last year it took the NWHHS months to recruit a GP to Julia CreekThe NWHHS hoped that using cutting-edge technology in its healthcare system would attract more staff to the region and lower employee stress levels.
The lessons are 10 to 15 minutes long, meaning that critical health staff no longer have to leave their communities for weeks at a time to receive training — creating unstable situations in vulnerable communities. Locally, the NWHHS is desperately trying to improve relationships at one of its remote hospitals, Doomadgee,Brad Chesham has spent 20 years as a registered nurse working in Australia and overseas, specialising in intensive care.
