We followed 22 Bumble users from across the nation as they went on their first ever virtual dates. We saw firsthand how positive virtual dating can be, and got some GREAT advice from celebs like Lauren and Cameron Hamilton, David Dobrik and Natalie Mariduena, Jerry Harris, and more!
Our very own Jazzmyne gave all the couples Virtual Date Challenges; they’re kind of a genius mix of icebreakers and virtual alternatives to your usual IRL “first date” activities. One couple does a talent show, another goes on a virtual picnic, and one does an ASMR challenge.The brave Bumble users let us in on their “first moves” and gave us front row seats to their intimate dates.
Her date, David, shows up and is literally radiant from the backlighting . Then he starts talking about his work as a spiritual advisor, minister and prophet while wearing a sunshine halo. Now we just want to be her best friend so we can call with allll our followup questions, and see how their second date went!The winning date for most reaction gifs per minute might actually be Samir and Cole .
Then immediately afterwards, they do their Dating Challenge: they each have to share their biggest fear...on a first date! They handle it with real grace and understanding, so kudos to them.
