The parents of Otto Warmbier issued a statement Friday calling Kim Jong Un responsible for the death of their son and implicitly criticizing President Donald Trump, who asserted the North Korean leader was unaware of the American student’s mistreatment while in captivity.

"Some really bad things happened to Otto — some really, really bad things. But he tells me he didn't know about it, and I will take him at his word," Trump, referring to Kim, told reporters at the end of the leaders’ two-day summit.
