MAYNILA - "Alibi" o palusot lang ng screening officer ng NAIA na tsokolate ang sinubo niya, at hindi pera, matapos masuspinde dahil sa pagnanakaw umano ng $300 mula sa isang pasaherong Chinese.
Ito ang pahayag ni OTS Deputy Administrator Asec. Jose Briones Jr. nang matanong agad sa budget hearing ng Department of Transportation sa Senado ukol sa insidente. Kumalat sa social media nitong nakaraang linggo ang CCTV footage kung saan nakita ang pagsubo ng screening officer sa dollar bills na sinasabing galing sa bagahe ng naturang pasahero.
"Initially that was the cover up or alibi, but subsequent footages caught by the CCTV... was she swallowed dollar bills," ani Briones.Ayon naman kay DOTr Sec. Jaime Bautista, 19 empleyado ng NAIA na ang nasibak sa pwesto simula July 2022 dahil nahuli silang nagnanakaw.Dismayado ang mga senador sa nangyari, pero sa kabilang banda, ayon kay Sen. Grace Poe, mainam na ituloy tuloy ang paglalagay ng mga CCTV para mapaigting ang monitoring.
