"Technically, I'm still the menteri besar," he told reporters at a function in Johor Bahru today.Osman had written to letters stating his wish to resign as menteri besar.
One was meant for his party chairperson Dr Mahathir Mohamad, while the other was for the Johor palace.Osman added that he is also still technically the leader of Johor Bersatu and Johor Pakatan Harapan. The four Johor Harapan component parties have unanimously decided that Bersatu should nominate a candidate for Osman's replacement.
