Style editor Damien Woolnough joining the blog here.Luxury fashion and menswear are my beat, so I’ve got an eye out for actors wearing jackets without shirts and dresses fresh from the Paris runway.Perth actor Belinda Bromilow, with Oscar-nominated screenwriter husband Tony McNamara , chose something from closer to home.
Bromilow, who has appeared in The Great and Doctor Doctor, wore a strapless black gown from Sydney label Velani, designed by Nicky Apostolopoulos. The black silk gown has a draped bustier and tulle, ruffled skirt.Bromilow knows what she likes, having worn Velani to this year’s BAFTAs and the Oscars in 2019. This year’s result is very Queen Mary of Denmark goes to the Oscars.
